Konami Details PES 2016's Latest Update

By Andy Mills,
Konami has detailed "Data Pack 3", the latest update for Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 Trophies that includes the UEFA EURO 2016 content. There's a lot to get through, so let's get straight to it.

We'll kick off with the kits. With the UEFA EURO 2016 tournament approaching fast, several countries will have new kits debuting at the competition and PES 2016 will reflect that. New kits will be available for France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, Iceland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Northern Ireland, Croatia, Albania, England, Portugal and Wales. In addition, a variety of club kits are being updated, including Udinese and Empoli in the Italian League, FC Groningen and Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie, La Liga’s Espanyol and Eibar sides and 10 second-tier Liga Adelante sides. Four UEFA Champions League strips are also being updated, those being FC Groningen, Marseilles, Sporting Lisbon and AS Saint-Etienne. Finally on the kit front, 14 South American sides - including but not limited to Flamengo, Corinthians, and Union de Sante Fe - from Brazil and Argentina will be updated.

As we move from the kits to the players that inhabit them now, 199 player faces have been enhanced and updated. Again, potential UEFA EURO 2016 stars, including Gareth Bale, Dele Alli, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ilkay Gündogan and Juan Mata, will be more detailed than ever. As well as visual likenesses, the update will aim to mirror their current form.

Moving on to ratings, over 1400 players will see their ratings change, these four for the better: Leicester's Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa. This will better reflect their overall mid-season performances. This will affect ratings both offline and online as Konami looks to have ratings as accurate as possible for the entire playerbase.

Finally, new boots and balls will be added, including - as you may expect given everything else in this article - the official balls of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA EURO 2016. Some of the boots included are NIKE’s Hypervenom Phantom II and Hypervenom Phantom II NJR styles, as well as PUMA’s evoSPEED SL, evoPOWER 1.3 and PARA Mexico Lite 15 HG JP designs.

This free update is available now, with five of the national kits (England, France, Croatia, Turkey and Portugal) launching as free DLC closer to the UEFA EURO 2016 tournament itself, which begins on June 10th.
